About the Founder

“I’ll never forget the feeling of being alone, a tiny, insignificant speck in a world that seemed determined to overlook me. My parents, each with children from previous relationships, came together only to bring me into this world. And then, they separated, leaving me as the sole thread connecting them.

Growing up, I felt like a ghost hovering on the fringes of my own family. My half-siblings from both sides were a constant reminder that I didn’t quite belong. I was the invisible child, the one who was always overlooked, always forgotten.

The pain of those years still echoes through my heart. I remember nights spent crying myself to sleep, wondering why I wasn’t enough, why I wasn’t loved enough. I felt like a leaf blown about by the winds of fate, helpless and alone.
But one moment changed everything. I stumbled upon a tattered book, its pages worn, but its words a balm to my soul. For the first time, I felt seen, heard, and understood. In that moment, a spark of hope ignited within me.

Despite the odds against me, I refused to let my circumstances define me. I pursued my education with determination and grit, and I’m proud to say that I’m now a 300-level student of Criminology and Security Studies at the National Open University of Nigeria.
It wasn’t easy – I got into school later than I should have, but I made sure I did. And now, I’m using my experiences to fuel my passion for protecting and uplifting those who have been marginalized and forgotten.

Through Blessing Akpan Hope Foundation and Orphanage Homes, I am creating a sanctuary of love, hope, and empowerment. But I need your help. I need your support to keep this mission alive. Your donation will be a beacon of hope in the darkness, a reminder that there are still good people in this world who care.

Together, let’s create a world where every child is seen, heard, and valued. Let’s wipe away the tears of the forgotten and give them a reason to smile again. Will you join me on this journey?”
